A collection of original oil paintings exploring the world of jazz imagined through the eyes of the 19th century French artist and printmaker, Toulouse-Lautrec. Famous for portraying the vibrancy and atmosphere of Parisian nightlife with his unique works styled with bright colours, flat space and bold lines. 

My paintings include powerful and contemporary portraits of jazz icons; grandiose compositions, textured from layers of rich, vibrant oils, stylised to mirror their musical genius. Whether it's Coltrane's soulful sax, the cool detachment of Miles Davis or the duet of Ella and Louis, each canvas showcases a moment of jazz history, a snap shot from the jazz scene. The Lautrec series narrates a story of spontaneity and improvisational creativity that is the art of jazz.
